Greetings Family,
Welcome to our new Moody Family Reunion website! Cousin Nikke Gant, our Corresponding Secretary, has been working hard with the team to design and build content for our initial launch. The website will allow us to have a permanent presence in social media and give family members access to password protected information about our reunions, family history, etc. Our hope is that we will add features at a later date to allow members to purchase t-shirts, pay dues and register for venues at our annual events.
We have accomplished some major milestones that will make our ancestors proud. Some of these accomplishments include honoring our 3rd generation Amanda Galphin Moody and John Oscar Moody, Jr. with headstones at their place of rest in the New Canaan Fair Church cemetery in Williston, SC. We have also secured recognition from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution for the military service of our 5th Great Grandfather, George Galphin II, a person of color, in the American Revolution.
There is certainly more to come. God bless you all and let’s keep shining!!!
